After Tania and Ben’s first collaboration on the epic One and All project in 2016 that showed at Somerset House, which was the National Trust’s big National programme of arts that celebrated the 50th year anniversary of the first coastlines being opened to the public.
They have continued to collaborate. Most recently they created a series of artist and film works that responded to the lockdown during the 2020/21.
‘time in the hive’ & ’hiber nation’.
These films were born from the seasons when they were created; first spring and then Winter, spanned one new commission, 'Hive' installed in artdocs.org/(babraham.ac.uk text: The Babraham Institute,) Cambridge, and the next as part of the 'UnNatural History' art show at the Herbert Gallery** curated by Invisible Dust during the Coventry city of culture 2021.
“We passed footage, sounds, and sequences; back and forth and built the films in a beautifully organic and collaborative way, despite working at distance.” Ben
"Film isn't my usual medium but Ben made working with film just like working with any other material. During Lockdown we found a method that maintained an authentic creativity and freedom, despite the extraordinary times we were in. And now for me, both those films hold the experience of that time" Tania
