A Lost Paradise?

A Lost Paradise?

‘A Paradise Lost?’ is a poetic, visual journey through Shugborough’s parkland, taking us back to the tumultuous night of the great flood of 1795 that destroyed Thomas Anson’s sublime vision of his perfect paradise. Through celluloid film, sound, poetry and hand-crank-powered projector boxes positioned at key points within the landscape, the art explorer will be offered a unique, dream-like glimpse through a ‘wormhole’ back to that tempestuous event that changed the landscape forever."

Working with Dr. Matthew Little, a renewable energy engineer, we worked to develop and create three kinetoscopes (film and sound projection boxes). The artworks will be on display within the grounds of the National Trust's Shugborough Estate until 2019
